Judges Share Pros & Cons, Risks & Rewards of Digital Presentations

Judges gathered at an HB’s Judicial Forum on Asbestos June 3, 2009 for a session on the use of technology at trial.  The technology they most commonly see – PowerPoint – drew the most discussion as the judges listed their preferences and rules, as well as the pros and cons.  In this clip, one judge said attorneys will have an advantage in using PowerPoint, but if you do not want to share the details of your opening or closing statements, don’t use a PowerPoint.  Another recommended a book for making such presentations most effective.  Also, thanks to LexisNexis Communities for sponsoring this upload, as well as our National Asbestos Litigation on Sept. 23-25 at The Four Seasons in San Francisco.
