Jonathan Orent of Motley Rice spoke at the HB Litigation Conferences Lead Litigation Conference on Oct. 3 in Amelia Island, Fla. on the recent decision in Sherwin-Williams v. Gaines (2009-CA-01 866-SCT) in which the Mississippi Supreme Court reversed a plaintiff verdict in a lead case, holding that the plaintiff’s evidence was inadmissible. Orent discussed the new dose-response requirement in lead cases that was established in Gaines as well as its potential impact on the state of the litigation.
