HB is proud to announce that Judge Eduardo C. Robreno will speak at HB’s 13th Annual National Asbestos Litigation Conference.

Judge Robreno is the third judge to manage the massive Multi-District Litigation of over 10,000 federal asbestos claims.

Born in Havana, Cuba, Judge Robreno is the first Cuban-American to be appointed as a federal judge.  He received his B.A. from Westfield State College in 1967, an M.A. from University of Massachusetts in 1969 and his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law–Camden in 1978.  Robreno was appointed by President George H.W. Bush to a seat on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and has served as on that court since July 27, 1992.  He served in the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, in Philadelphia from 1978 to 1981.  He was in private practice from 1981 to 1992, and was a lecturer at Rutgers Law School from 1992 to 1996.
