17th Annual Reinsurance Roundtable Set for March in Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona, U.S.A. – January 12, 2010 — The Seventeenth Annual Insurance Insolvency & Reinsurance Roundtable will be held at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess March 24-27, 2010 in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Sharon Boothe, President of HB Litigation Conferences, announced, “We expect a very large attendance, significantly surpassing last year’s number of over 200 delegates.”

The chairing panel, Boothe said, are among the leaders in the reinsurance and insurance insolvency fields: Debra Hall, Principal, Global Regulatory and Risk Consultants, Washington, DC; Neal Moglin, Esq., Partner, Lovells LLP, Chicago; and Peter Thomas, Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Willis Re, McLeansville, NC.

This year’s agenda, combined with the conference’s signature networking opportunities, make this a “don’t miss” event in 2010. The curriculum provides an unparalleled blend of speakers who will discuss emerging risks and explore creative ideas for potential opportunities from these risks, provide an insider’s perspective on regulatory developments and how companies can remain in compliance, and enlighten attendees on the newest developments in the insolvency and run-off arenas.

Topics featured include: emerging legal threats; approaches to managing risks in a more complex and interconnected world; strategic planning for lawyers; regulating in this post-recession era; evaluating the risk on non-compliance, reinsurance recoverables; Part VII transfers and schemes of arrangement; high-profile BOLI/COLI litigation; utmost good faith; arbitration and commutations; and more.

The faculty experts were chosen based on their strong reputations in their industries and their ability to provide diversity in their viewpoints and experiences.
